Perfumers

Ibrahim Al-Zouabi left Syria for Sweden in 1988, and both places live on in his work. He spent more than thirty years as a perfumer for major international fragrance companies, and since 1990 he has travelled the world hunting for rare aromatic materials. In 2019 he founded his own house, Pana Dora, in Emmaboda, Sweden. His signature is gentle and warm: the spices, resins and oud of Middle Eastern perfumery, filtered through Nordic light – misty forests, Midsummer nights.
