Nissaba Tierra Maya Eau de Parfum 100 ml – Stimmungsbild

Nissaba – perfumes from the world's fields

Nissaba is a perfume house from Geneva, founded by Sébastien Tissot and Eric Stucky de Quay. For many years Tissot ran sustainable sourcing of natural raw materials at DSM-Firmenich, so he knows the people who grow and harvest fragrant plants first-hand. In 2021 he met Eric Stucky de Quay, who brought his experience in distribution. The brand takes its name from Nissaba, the Sumerian goddess of grain who later became the patron of writing.

Every Nissaba scent is dedicated to a single region of origin and built on its natural materials – guaiac wood from the Paraguayan Chaco, jasmine sambac and tuberose from South India, hay and juniper from the Alps. The result is Chaco, Malli Nadu, Sulawesi, Grande Ile, Tierra Maya, Provence, Les Alpes and Andevalo, composed by perfumers such as Alexandra Monet, Ilias Ermenidis, Sébastien Cresp, Fabrice Pellegrin and Coralie Spicher. At least 90% of the ingredients are of natural origin, and the lightweight glass bottle is laser-engraved instead of labelled, and refillable. 5% of sales go to projects with agricultural schools in Paraguay, Madagascar and India.

What makes Nissaba special to us?

We love that with Nissaba you always know where a scent comes from – and who made it possible. Each bottle is a small map: the smoke of the Chaco, the jasmine fields of Tamil Nadu, the mountain meadows of the Alps. And we like knowing that part of every purchase flows back to where the plants grow.
