Kai Porten Parfums Privés – extraits built to last

Behind Kai Porten Parfums Privés is Kai Porten from Germany, one of the best-known voices for niche perfume in the German-speaking world. On YouTube he has been reviewing fragrances for years – from big orientals to elegant everyday companions – and he has been part of the Parfumo community since 2018. With his own brand he fulfilled a long-held dream: his first fragrance, Oud 31, launched in 2023. He is clear about what matters to him – quality raw materials, a distinctive DNA and a scent that stays on the skin.

For every fragrance, Kai Porten teams up with an experienced perfumer. Oud 31, a spicy extrait of oud, cardamom and rose, was composed by Christian Carbonnel, also known as Chris Maurice. Cherry X followed in 2024 with Mark Buxton – black cherry with saffron and oud, dark, woody and never too sweet. In 2025, Miguel Matos' Beach Klub took things to a midnight beach party, with tropical fruit, warm sand and dark leather. All three are extraits de parfum in a 50 ml bottle.
