Chambre52 – Room 52, One Night in São Paulo

Chambre52 carries a room number in its name – that of room 52 in a hotel in São Paulo, where Nicolas Dewitte stayed in 2022 and found the idea for the brand. Founded together with film director Cédric Jimenez and launched in Paris in 2024, every scent here begins with a screenplay. At SNUD in Vienna-Josefstadt you can smell all Chambre52 fragrances and choose your own room.

What makes Chambre52 special to us?

We like how every scent tells a scene – you smell Soleil Tonka and you're standing in the sand, you wear Tobacco Memories and you're sitting on a rooftop long after midnight. We love this cinema in a bottle, the signatures of different perfumers under one roof, and a beautiful bottle you keep rather than replace.

Who are Chambre52 fragrances for?

For anyone who loves scents with atmosphere and likes to wear a story on their skin. If you like it warm and gourmand, start with Soleil Tonka or Tobacco Memories, which also comes as an extrait; if you want creamy and powdery, with Contre ta Peau or Orencie; and if you love wood and leather, with Cuir à Corps or Bois Flotté. The Discovery Set lets you get to know all six scents.

A screenplay for every scent

Nicolas Dewitte has been developing perfumes for more than twenty years, and Chambre52 is his most personal project. Every scent begins with a screenplay – a hotel room, a letter, a cocktail, a light. For the six eaux de parfum the brand works with perfumers such as Domitille Michalon Berti, Caroline Dumur, Jean-Christophe Hérault and Nicolas Beaulieu. In 2025 the Fragrance Foundation France named Tobacco Memories best niche fragrance of the year in the “Young independent brand” category.

Domitille Michalon Berti created Tobacco Memories and Cuir à Corps, Caroline Dumur Contre ta Peau and Orencie, Jean-Christophe Hérault Soleil Tonka and Nicolas Beaulieu Bois Flotté.

A bottle to keep

The faceted bottle of clear glass was created with Jules Dinand, grandson of the legendary bottle designer Pierre Dinand – deliberately transparent so the juice takes centre stage – and can be refilled again and again. The raw materials are weighed by hand in Grasse, and production takes place in France.

Smoky, gourmand and fruity as an eau de parfum, fruity, sweet and powdery as an extrait: Tobacco Memories shows how differently one scent can come across in two concentrations.
