Architect Asim Al Qassim founded Anfas in Dubai, becoming the United Arab Emirates' first certified perfumer. The name "Anfas" means "breaths" in Arabic, and that's exactly how every fragrance in the collection comes to life: an Arabic word first, the feeling it carries second, and only then the formula that translates both into scent.
None of the collection's ten fragrances start with a note – they all start with a word: Salam for peace, Ishq for devoted love, Rahaba for vastness. That language-first approach, rooted in Al Qassim's own memories of open tents, Arabic coffee and desert journeys, makes Anfas a house that doesn't just reference Arabic heritage, it composes it.
What makes Anfas special to us ?
What moves us about Anfas is exactly that connection between language and scent – how a single Arabic word many of us have never heard suddenly becomes legible through the nose, and how much warmth and hospitality sit inside every single bottle.
