Pernoire is an independent Swiss perfume house, founded in Basel in 2020 by Nico Mannino and Robin Dünner. The two have known each other since childhood, and every Pernoire scent is an Extrait de Parfum, developed and made in Switzerland. At SNUD in Vienna-Josefstadt you can smell and try them and take samples home with you.
What makes Pernoire special to us?
We love that you can sense the friendship behind Pernoire – two people who have known each other since childhood and translate their memories into scent. The extraits are dense, warm and full of character, from the soft leather of Kama to the resinous Masar and the salty freshness of Vitias. And we love the bottles with their symbols, which look like a secret on any shelf.
Who are Pernoire fragrances for?
For anyone looking for dense, warm extraits with character. If you like it fresh, start with Vitias, Yuma or Anelo; if you love sweet and creamy, with Luvani, Poka or Otimo; and if you're after spicy, resinous or leathery, with Masar, Amoral or Kama.
Nico and Robin complement each other like yin and yang: Robin comes from photography and film and leads the creative direction, while Nico studied business and runs the company. Every scent begins with a feeling, a memory or a curiosity – Vitias, for instance, was inspired by Nico's southern Italian roots.
The range is correspondingly wide: Yuma is fresh, citrusy and green, Tierra sweet, spicy and balsamic, and Mansa woody, powdery and floral.
Refining until the composition is right
The fragrances are composed with Swiss perfumer Andreas Wilhelm, a long-standing collaborator of the founders – together they share impressions, question decisions and keep refining until the composition is right. The bottles are black or white, each with its own symbol and a reflective round cap.
Every scent of the brand comes from Andreas Wilhelm. So a shared signature runs through the whole collection, from Naki with its fresh fruit to Otimo with its sweet spice.
