Omanluxury – Frankincense, roses and Omani heritage
OMANLUXURY was founded in Muscat in 2012 by Muatasim Al Hinai and Muadh Al Sinawi, who shaped the centuries-old frankincense tradition of their homeland into an independent niche perfume house. The brand translates three of Oman's landscapes into contemporary perfumery: the frankincense groves of Dhofar, the rose fields of Jabal Akhdar and the vastness of desert and coast. At SNUD in Vienna-Josefstadt you can smell and try the fragrances and take samples home with you.
What makes Omanluxury special to us?
We love how naturally OMANLUXURY brings together homeland and craftsmanship – every bottle carries a piece of Omani form, every fragrance a piece of Omani landscape. And we like that great names in perfumery tell the story of Omani frankincense, roses and oud in an entirely new way here.
Who are Omanluxury fragrances for?
For anyone who loves frankincense, oud and roses, but in a modern form. If you like it smoky, start with Royal Incense or Zafar; if you're after oud, with Oud Aquilaria; if you love leather and spice, with Caden or Paramour; and if you like it fresher, with Wanderlust or Overdose. Mariya is floral and spicy at once.
What makes OMANLUXURY unmistakable above all is the bottle: its silhouette quotes traditional Omani dress, the neck the curved lines of Omani silver jewellery and the cap the geometric shape of the kumma, the traditional cap.
Behind the bottle are very different characters: Wanderlust is green, fresh and fruity, Caden leathery, spicy and oriental, Mariya floral, spicy and sweet.
Great perfumers, Omani raw materials
For its compositions, the house works with renowned perfumers such as Dominique Ropion for Oud Aquilaria, Philippe Paparella-Paris for Overdose and Paramour, Pierre-Constantin Guéros for Zafar and Philippine Courtière for Royal Incense. They combine Omani frankincense, roses and oud with international scent ideas instead of merely quoting them.
They are joined by Jean-Louis Sieuzac with Wanderlust, Maxime Exler with Caden and Hamid Merati-Kashani with Mariya. At SNUD you'll find all the fragrances as Eau de Parfum.
