Liquides Imaginaires – Perfume as ritual and myth

Liquides Imaginaires is the work of designer Philippe Di Méo and David Frossard from Paris. Their aim: to return perfume to its sacred origins, to ceremony and ritual – and for them, the story comes before the formula. At SNUD in Vienna-Josefstadt you can experience these little myths on your skin and choose your own.

What makes Liquides Imaginaires special to us?

We love that every Liquides Imaginaires fragrance brings a story you can dive into – Blanche Bête summons the white mythical creature with a single horn, Liquide follows the transformation card of the tarot, Morning Star captures the moment the morning and evening star merge into a single light. Lunatique invites you to explore your darker sides, Dom Rosa sparkles like a glass of rosé. These fragrances aren't accessories but small everyday rituals.

Who are Liquides Imaginaires fragrances for?

For anyone looking for fragrances with a story and depth. If you like it fresh, start with Lunatique or Dom Rosa; if you love creamy and gourmand, with Blanche Bête or Liquide; and if you like spices and luminous florals together, with Morning Star.

Potion and antidote

At Liquides Imaginaires, every fragrance begins with a legend, a myth or an image, and only then do perfumers translate that story into scent. The fragrances come in trilogies, often as pairs of opposites such as good and evil or day and night, meant as potion and antidote at once. Each trilogy is a chapter of an inner journey, told through myths, memories and rites of passage.

At SNUD the range stretches from fresh, woody and aromatic like Lunatique to gourmand, creamy and floral like Blanche Bête.

Bottles like amphorae

For a while the founders also ran their own fragrance bar in the Haut Marais, “Liquides”. In the trilogy Les Eaux Sanguines, perfume is read like wine – Dom Rosa is its rosé champagne, a tribute to the rose growing at the end of the vine row. The heavy glass bottles recall ancient amphorae. At SNUD you'll also find Blanche Bête and Morning Star by Louise Turner, Liquide by Nisrine Grillié and Lunatique by Vincent Ricord.

Dom Rosa itself is by Sonia Constant and is citrusy, woody and floral.
