Regalien Istanbul – Fragrance Rituals from Turkey
Regalien is a niche perfume house from Istanbul, founded in 2016 by two brothers, both engineers. The name comes from Latin and means "royal", and the perfumes are still made in Istanbul today. At SNUD in Vienna-Josefstadt you can smell and try the extraits and take samples home with you.
What makes Regalien Istanbul special to us?
We love how much Istanbul is captured in these bottles – the steam of the hammam, a glass of tea, the turquoise of the coast. Regalien turns everyday rituals into scents full of warmth and generosity. And we love that the house is run by two brothers who turned their childhood passion into their profession.

For anyone who loves warm, generous extraits and enjoys being carried off to another place. If you like it fresh, start with Hammam, Dem or Turkuaz. If you're after sweet and floral, try Ceremony or Antidote. If you love gourmand, go for Hazz or Châtelain 22, and if you like spicy and smoky, Agora or the aromatic, woody Mystic.
Two brothers and a childhood dream
As children, the two brothers were already experimenting with flowers and mixing their own scents. Today Regalien brings together Eastern and Western fragrance culture and draws on the stories, landscapes and rituals of the city on the Bosphorus – every scent is meant to feel on the skin like something inherited and noble.
For the compositions the brothers bring partners on board: Hazz, Antidote and Ceremony were created with Firmenich and MG Gulcicek.
From the hammam to Turkey's heritage
The Turkish Bath Rituals collection is devoted to the ancient hammam rituals of Anatolia – Hammam smells of steam, warm marble and white soap, Dem of freshly brewed tea. Agora, from the Hidden Origins collection, carries the gold of the Golden Horn and the spices of the bazaar, while Châtelain 22 is named after the Châtelain district in Brussels. Every scent is an Extrait de Parfum, and at SNUD you'll also find Turkuaz, Ceremony, Hazz, Antidote and Mystic.
The range stretches from the aquatic, fresh Turkuaz and the citrusy, green Dem to the sweet, creamy Hazz and the spicy, smoky Agora.
