Pana Dora – Swedish niche perfumery between oriental richness and Scandinavian clarity
Pana Dora Sweden was founded in 2019 by Ibrahim Al-Zoubi, a Syrian-born perfumer who arrived in Sweden in 1988 and spent more than three decades working for major international fragrance houses before starting his own label in Emmaboda. His guiding line – "Where Swedish Precision Meets the Art of Perfumery" – is both description and manifesto: oriental richness meeting Scandinavian clarity, lavish materials like oud and amber set against the plainness of Nordic forests, lakes and wildflowers that Al-Zoubi rediscovered as his true inspiration after decades on the road.
What sets the house apart, not least, is its bottle – crowned with the stylised head of a Swedish deer, a quiet nod to purity, strength and Scandinavian identity. Luxury, in the house's own words, isn't loud but timeless: composed with integrity, shaped by craft, and answerable to where its materials come from.
