PERNOIRE – a Swiss niche perfume label from Basel, founded in 2020 by childhood friends Nico Mannino and Robin Dünner and composed together with perfumer Andreas Wilhelm.

Amoral smells woody-spiced with a smoky, dark core – a scent like a tea house late at night. Lime, black tea, cardamom, cinnamon, cumin and smoked plums open it dark and spiced, violet, iris and oud come together at the heart into a powdery-woody picture, before orange blossom, ambery notes, sandalwood and tonka bean settle into a warm, sweetly woody base.

Amoral works best in autumn, winter and in the evening. The unisex scent makes an intense, faintly smoky signature scent.

What makes Amoral special to us is the contrast between its smoky, spiced opening and its soft, powdery violet-iris heart – two sides that shouldn't really work together, yet here they do.
