Grande Ile is the name of Madagascar, the largest island in the Indian Ocean – a fragrance as a tribute to the island, its biodiversity and the vanilla harvesters of the Sava region.

Grande Ile smells of vanilla, pepper and cedarwood – spicy, woody and gourmand. Black and pink pepper from Madagascar open, at the heart Bourbon vanilla brings warmth, before cedarwood, patchouli and guaiac wood give Vanilla Planifolia a firm hold.

Grande Ile is best in autumn and winter and suits day and night. The gender-neutral fragrance feels warm, soft and enveloping – like a cashmere blanket on the skin.

What makes Grande Ile special to us is the depth of the vanilla: dry cedar, pepper and resinous touches frame it, caramel nuances make it creamy, and the scent keeps evolving on the skin through the day. It was composed by Frank Voelkl, who also created Santal 33 for Le Labo.
