Masar – Extrait de Parfum

PERNOIRE – a Swiss niche perfume label from Basel, founded in 2020 by childhood friends Nico Mannino and Robin Dünner and composed together with perfumer Andreas Wilhelm.
Masar smells leathery-amber with a sweet, tobacco-laced core – the very first fragrance Pernoire ever composed. Yuzu, cinnamon, labdanum and clove open it spiced and sharp, amber, honey, tobacco and vanilla come together at the heart into a warm, sweet picture, before rosewood, tonka bean, leather, sandalwood and animalic notes settle into a dense, leathery base.
Masar works best in autumn, winter and in the evening. The unisex scent makes an intense, warm signature scent.
What makes Masar special to us is exactly this role as the origin point: everything Pernoire later became known for – the balance of warmth and depth, of sweetness and roughness – is already laid out here, in the fragrance that started it all.
