Chaco – Eau de Parfum

Nissaba – a Geneva perfume house that sources raw materials where they grow and supports local projects with 5% of its sales. Chaco is dedicated to the forest of the same name in Paraguay, the second-largest primary forest in Latin America – also called the “impenetrable forest” because of its dense vegetation.
Chaco smells of forest, tea and citrus – green, fresh and woody. Yerba mate absolute from Paraguay, bergamot and lemon sfumato open, at the heart Paraguayan petitgrain, lavandin and cardamom come together in a tea accord, before palo santo, vetiver and two cedar oils carry the base.
Chaco is best in spring and summer and suits the day. The gender-neutral fragrance feels clear, calm and focused – a scent for the moment you want some distance from everyday life.
What makes Chaco special to us is its origin: the forest is the only source of guaiac wood, which is called palo santo locally, and Alexandra Monet has used it together with mate, petitgrain and citrus to create a green fragrance that clearly names its home.
