Blue Suede Shoes
Blue Suede Shoes doesn't just refer to blue suede or, as is often said, suede shoes - it also refers to a legendary piece of music history. The eponymous rock 'n' roll song by Carl Perkins was released in 1956 and is one of the most successful singles of all time. In the same year, the King himself, Elvis Presley, recorded a slightly faster-paced cover version. Although not originally planned as a single, it topped the charts and made the song world-famous. With a lot of wit, the lyrics tell of someone who adores his blue suede shoes, as in the text, he urges: 'Do what you want, beat me down, burn my house, steal my car..., but just don't step on my blue suede shoes.'
At the very beginning of Blue Suede Shoes, we encounter a fresh, herbaceous, and spicy blend. Bitter bergamot and aromatic lavender are finely accented by anise and pepper. The heart notes emit a woody and rather dry undertone. Cedarwood plays a significant role in this, but also, subtly held patchouli, delicate amber, and creamy sandalwood support this aspect. A soft base underlies the fresh and woody scent with harmoniously fused components such as vetiver, tonka bean, and labdanum. The elegant steel-blue bottle enhances the impression that Blue Suede Shoes is an expressive citrus fragrance.
