Perfumers

Perfume runs in the family for Christian Carbonnel. His grandfather Maurice, a French perfumer, founded the house of Carbonnel in Spain in 1925. Christian, the third generation, learned his craft under his father Francisco in the family lab, side by side with 17 perfumers, and signs much of his work as Chris Maurice. He composes 20 to 30 fragrances a year and knows exactly what he loves: woody, heavy, laced with incense. In 2019 he won an Art and Olfaction Award for "Veneno" by Miguel Matos.
