D'ORSAY is a Paris fragrance house named after the dandy Alfred d'Orsay. À cœur perdu. L.B. bears the initials of Lady Blessington – it is today's version of the fragrance Alfred d'Orsay created in 1830 for the love of his life.
À cœur perdu smells of the moment just before: iris aldehyde and bergamot open bright and citrusy like a smile, orange blossom and neroli bloom in the heart, and cashmeran and moss turn the freshness into something warm and close to the skin. Fanny Bal describes it as a fragrance of absolution – like sheets drying in the sun.
À cœur perdu suits bright days and fresh mornings, spring and summer, but also any season when you wish for a little lightness.
What makes À cœur perdu special to us is its story: it is the fragrance D'ORSAY began with, retold and so fresh it could be from today. Romance that never turns heavy – and that's exactly why it's so lovely to wear.
