The noses behind our niche fragrances
Arnaud Poulain
Arnaud Poulain grew up in Arras, in northern France, among people who worked with their hands: a metalworker father, a carpenter uncle and farming grandparents. He was studying mechanical engineering when, at 20, someone gave him a book by Jean-Claude Ellena, and that was the turn. He trained at SIADEP in Lens and at Cinquième Sens in Paris, mentored by Amélie Bourgeois, and in 2015 founded Les Eaux Primordiales, a name borrowed from Jules Verne. The perfumes are still made in the Pas-de-Calais. He calls himself a "scent mechanic": technically exact, with a daring edge. At SNUD you'll find his fragrances for Les Eaux Primordiales – all of them right here.
