Perfumers

Gaël Montero is both French and Spanish, grew up in Madrid and originally went to France to study film. After his studies in Montpellier he worked in a small niche shop selling fragrances from the Middle East – and that scent culture stayed with him. He graduated from the Givaudan Perfumery School in Paris and then spent two years training with Jordi Fernández in Barcelona. Today he works for Givaudan in Dubai, with oud, saffron and spices as his everyday materials, and prefers subtlety to volume.
