Perfumers

Julien Rasquinet was collecting perfumes at 14, but first earned a business school degree. A chance meeting with the great Pierre Bourdon changed everything: he trained with him for three years, day in, day out. After a spell as an independent perfumer he joined Creed, where he created the bestseller Royal Oud, then worked for IFF between Paris and Dubai, immersing himself in Middle Eastern perfumery. Today he is Senior Perfumer at CPL Aromas, and his fragrances tell stories – boldly dosed, opulent, romantic rather than literal.
