Sarah Baker – a London perfume house founded by artist Sarah Baker, who, together with Andy Hsu, tells fragrances like little film scenes from a studio in East London.

Year XOXO is the grand finale of Sarah Baker's Vanilla Trilogy – taking vanilla into the future, to the year 2126, to a world where the last survivors guard the last apple tree and a library of paperback books.

Year XOXO smells of fresh, clean air: a luscious green apple begins the story, molecular ozone and clouds of soft musk carry it on, with old paperbacks, warm skin and white paint wash on canvas in between. Forbidden Vanilla has the last word – this time not sweet, but floating on cashmere wood. Margaux Le Paih-Guérin calls it an anti-gourmand vanilla.

Year XOXO suits bright days and clear evenings, spring as much as winter – a scent for everyone who loves vanilla but doesn't want sweetness.
