The noses behind our niche fragrances
Sonia Constant
According to her grandparents, one of Sonia Constant's first words was "fleur". She found perfumery as a career at 16, despite her family's doubts, and in 1998 started at Givaudan as a lab assistant. Training followed at ISIPCA in Versailles and at the Givaudan Perfumery School, with Olivier Pescheux as her main mentor; today she is a senior perfumer at Givaudan. In 2017 she and her husband Olivier Gagliardi founded Ella K, named after the travel writer Ella Maillart and her Czech grandfather, Kučera.
