The noses behind our niche fragrances
Sophie Labbé
Sophie Labbé grew up between Paris and Charente-Maritime. Meeting Jean Kerléo, Patou's perfumer, in 1985 was the turning point. After a chemistry degree she graduated top of her class at ISIPCA in 1987, worked at Givaudan and then 27 years at IFF, and is now Principal Perfumer at dsm-firmenich. She created Givenchy Organza, Bvlgari Jasmin Noir and Ferragamo Signorina, and in 2005 became the first woman to win the François Coty Award. Composing a perfume, she says, is like gardening – it takes love, patience and a skilful hand. At SNUD you'll find her fragrance for Essential Parfums – right here.
