Azzurro

Azzurro - that was the big hit of 1968, composed by Paolo Conte, but immortalized by Adriano Celentano. In his unmistakable style, he sang about the azure blue of the sky in summer and the longing for a distant love. The song was often reinterpreted, quite fittingly by the Azzurri, the Italian national football team, who recorded it anew after their World Cup victory in Germany in 2006. Azure blue, a color for dreaming. This blue has fascinated people since ancient Egypt in the form of lapis lazuli, and the Côte d'Azur region was named after it. Today, it not only adorns the jerseys of the Squadra Azzurra but also - as a homage to Italy.

Azzurro presents itself with a delightful, fruity opening. Where one often encounters numerous citrus fruits, here it is only the bitter glow of grapefruit, followed by distinct and delicious strawberry notes, accompanied by coconut and a fruity-spicy hint of pink pepper. At its heart is a completely unpretentious rose, which, reserved but determined, directs the dried fruit-evoking davana and the sourly cheerful blackcurrant. It is also surrounded by a sparkling, luxurious champagne accent and an almost translucent, spring-like magnolia. Sensually ambered and deeply woody tones in the base, along with a fruity musk, complete the fragrance in the most charming way.
