The mountainous coasts of eastern Mexico blurred in the warm, humid air of late summer. In Veracruz, Estrella de la Mañana, the beautiful daughter of King Tenizti III, walked across the plains. Her gaze met that of a young man with wood on his head, Prince Hirsch. They barely exchanged a word, yet the magic of love was palpable.

When King Tenizti III learned of this, he was furious. He sent his priests to pursue them. The sky darkened. He decided to sacrifice the lovers' souls to appease the gods.

From her bloody tears grew a bush, its branches entwining like her final embrace. Star-shaped blossoms covered it. Soon, black vanilla pods swayed in the breeze, filling the air with their fragrance.

"Estrella de la Mañana" is a black vanilla bean, split in half and burned in a blazing fireplace. The black cocoa powder and the rich vanilla give the fragrance a unique aura.
