Christian Tortu – the Parisian florist from Anjou who grew up in his parents’ market garden and turned his love of nature into candles, home fragrances and body care. Forêts was the first scent in his collection.
Forêts smells like a walk beneath the trees. Pine, orange and cypress open resinous and fresh, cedar, mint and clove sit at the heart, and labdanum and praline fade out warm. Tortu describes it as resin, pine needles, cistus labdanum, the leaves and wood of Virginia cedar, tree moss and freshly cut grass. The candle is made from mineral and vegetable wax with a pure cotton wick and is made in France.
Forêts is the candle for anyone who would like a Christmas-tree scent all year round – especially lovely in winter, a cool green counterpoint in summer. It comes in three sizes: 75 g, 190 g and 600 g.
