Christian Tortu – the Parisian florist from Anjou who grew up in his parents’ market garden and turned his love of nature into candles, home fragrances and body care. Forêts was the first scent in his collection.
Forêts smells like a walk beneath the trees. Pine, orange and cypress open resinous and fresh, cedar, mint and clove sit at the heart, and labdanum and praline fade out warm. Tortu describes it as resin, pine needles, cistus labdanum, the leaves and wood of Virginia cedar, tree moss and freshly cut grass. The pot pourri (450 g) is made in France.
You can leave the tin open or arrange the pot pourri in a ceramic bowl – in the hallway, bathroom or bedroom. It scents gently and needs neither flame nor electricity.
