Dishwasher safe, but hand washing suggested.
Unglazed porcelain surfaces, (the matte white areas) are sometimes susceptible to light stains. Frequent washing can help remove and prevent staining.
We suggest hand washing, however, the tableware items can be placed in the dishwasher for the removal of stubborn stains on a gentle / low heat setting.
You can also place the item in a bowl of warm water with a detergent tab. Very stubborn stains and spots can sometimes be removed with diluted chlorine and lime remover.
Dark lines in the glaze (usually caused by silverware) can be removed with vienna lime chalk powder or by scrubbing with a sponge and a dish soap + baking soda mixture.
If greasy marks appear on matte surfaces, rub the area with food safe oils, let sit, then clean with soap and water or try scrubbing with a sponge and a dish soap + baking soda mixture.
All of the porcelain and stoneware tableware items are microwave safe.
It is very important that you let boiling water settle (stop rolling / bubbling) before pouring it into a tableware item - especially a hand made piece. If the item is very cold to the touch, we also suggest pre-heating it with hot tap water.
