Sirène smells darkly fruity, ambery and finally woody and smoky. Cherry and pepper open sweet and faintly sharp, oud, incense and a milky, lactonic note merge at the heart into something dark and seductive, before moss, benzoin, cistus, labdanum and cypriol settle into a resinous, warm, very present base.

Sirène works best in the evening and in the colder months – the brand itself describes it as FRAGRANCE DU BOIS's first explicitly "feminine" fragrance, though we'd happily call it unisex, especially for anyone who doesn't shy away from oud.

What makes Sirène special for us is the cherry, which never plays it sweet and safe but collides head-on with oud and incense – a friction that makes the fragrance feel dark and a little dangerous instead of simply "fruity-sweet". That friction is exactly what makes it interesting to us.
