Danner & Flemming is a Bavarian fragrance atelier built on an unusual promise: more iris than perfumery thought possible. Christian Danner cultivates the iris rhizomes on Bavarian fields, biologist Marcel Flemming refines them into extract and butter – and master perfumer Antoine Lie works them into a concentration he himself calls unprecedented. Iris Altesse is the brightest, most floral chapter of this trilogy.

Iris Altesse smells fresh, green, and powdery. Bergamot, pink pepper, and cassis open sparkling and slightly fruity, before jasmine sambac, orange blossom, and tuberose intertwine at the heart into a lush white floral bouquet. Bavarian iris pallida – processed at roughly 26 times the usual concentration – settles over it like a mineral, powdery veil, warm and cool at once, before patchouli grounds the base.

Iris Altesse works best in spring and summer, during the day – a unisex fragrance for anyone who wants elegance without effort.

What makes this fragrance special to us: the almost unbelievable iris dosage – 2.6% in a perfume oil that usually contains barely a tenth of that. Iris Altesse doesn't smell like the idea of iris, it smells like iris itself.
