Perfumers
The noses behind our niche fragrances
Antoine Lie
Antoine Lie comes from Strasbourg, first studied chemistry and joined the Roure perfumery school in Grasse in 1988, where Jean Guichard was his teacher. From 1993 he refined his formulation skills in the US, then worked for IFF, Givaudan and Takasago – along the way he helped create global hits like Armani Code. At the same time he became the go-to nose for the unconventional: for Etat Libre d'Orange he made Rien and Divin'Enfant, among others. Independent since 2018, he calls himself an abstract perfumer – vinyl, metal and ether interest him as much as vetiver, leather and iris. At SNUD you'll find his fragrances for Danner & Flemming, Trudon and Zoologist – all of them right here.
