Khamsin – Eau de Parfum

ELLA K is a French niche fragrance house from Paris, founded in 2018 by Givaudan perfumer Sonia Constant. Every scent tells of a place or a journey – Khamsin of the desert wind of the same name that blows between Israel and Egypt.

Khamsin smells of desert wind, dates and leather – sweet, leathery and warm. Orange blossom and saffron open fresh and spicy, dates and Arabian jasmine meet in the heart, before leather and benzoin lay down a soft, resinous-sweet base.

Khamsin is at its best in autumn and winter and works for day and evening. This unisex scent feels warm and idiosyncratic without turning heavy.

What makes Khamsin special to us is the pairing of fruit and leather: the date gives the leather a sweet, almost juicy side, and the orange blossom keeps it fresh – a leather market in Cairo, not a club armchair.
