Forêts – Liquid Soap

Christian Tortu – the Parisian florist from Anjou who grew up in his parents’ market garden and turned his love of nature into candles, home fragrances and body care. Forêts was the first scent in his collection.

Forêts smells like a walk beneath the trees. Pine, orange and cypress open resinous and fresh, cedar, mint and clove sit at the heart, and labdanum and praline fade out warm. Tortu describes it as resin, pine needles, cistus labdanum, the leaves and wood of Virginia cedar, tree moss and freshly cut grass. The liquid soap (500 ml) is made in France.

It belongs in the bathroom or guest toilet and is made for hands as well as the shower. The forest scent stays quietly in the room instead of dominating it.

What makes Forêts as a soap special to us: washing your hands becomes a small walk in the woods – green, resinous and pleasantly soft.
